Firstly big Apologies for the Lack of contact so far this year. I must confess I've struggled with finding inspiration in my practice and the appalling weather has stopped my usual excursions outside....
Anyway onwards and upwards I'm back firing on all cylinder's now so watch this space!
I've taken inspiration from my wonderful four day course at Newlyn School of Art
' Abstracting The Wild Coast' with Sam Boughton
"Layered Landscape"
Working with Large sheets of Thick fibre lined paper to creating washes of colour with Inks, Acrylic washes, Pastels and Oil Crayons. No Brushes have been use. My most used tool was a shower squeegee, a water spray bottle and my fingers. Once the composite emerged from the paper this was mounted on a sealed wooden panel then UV Varnished and a clear levelling gel applied. The Final process involved waxing to knock back the shinny protective surface.. A long process but I have been thrilled with the finished paintings. Let me know what you ?
Here's a little taster to wet your appetite
All my new work has now been uploaded to my website and is now available to view. If you like what you see and want further images then please just drop me a line, email me here.
Bye for now!
